Toyota Motor North America has officially unveiled the sixth-generation 2026 Toyota RAV4, which will be available in three design themes: Core, Rugged, and Sport, covering seven trim levels in total:
Core Design
Rugged Design
Sport Design
The all-new RAV4 is expected to launch in the U.S. in late 2025, with pricing to be announced closer to the on-sale date.

The front of the new RAV4 features sharper LED headlights, a body-colored grille, and a larger air intake. On the sides, it gets trapezoidal fender flares and sculpted character lines for a more dynamic look. New alloy wheels are available in 17-, 18-, or 20-inch sizes depending on the trim. The rear includes smoked LED taillights, a more angular rear profile, and a larger rear spoiler. The GR Sport adds even more aggression with wing-style spoilers and a unique rear diffuser. The Woodland gets a split grille, auxiliary LED lights, raised roof rails, and an extra 13mm of ground clearance thanks to All-Terrain tires.
The new RAV4 continues to ride on the TNGA-K platform, which has been enhanced with reinforced structural joints and suspension mounting points to improve rigidity. Toyota has also added vibration-absorbing adhesive to reduce noise and harshness. The GR Sport model benefits from exclusive tuning by Toyota Gazoo Racing, with upgraded suspension, steering, and a stiffer body structure.
All trims of the 2026 RAV4 will be electrified, offering a choice between HEV (Hybrid) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid):
-
RAV4 PHEV:
-
Standard AWD
-
Up to 320 hp — 18 hp more than before
-
All-electric range increased to 80 km (50 miles)
-
Fast-charging (DC) capability in XSE and Woodland trims: 10–80% in approx. 30 minutes
-
Towing capacity ranges from 794 kg (FWD) to 1,588 kg (AWD)
Toyota claims improvements in transaxle, power control units, battery capacity, and use of silicon carbide semiconductors for greater performance and efficiency.

The cabin is fully refreshed with a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster (standard) and a floating infotainment display — available in either 10.5 or 12.9 inches depending on the trim. A head-up display is optional on higher trims. The HVAC controls are now integrated as a permanent on-screen display below the touchscreen. The redesigned center console features two cup holders and additional storage. Sound system options include a 6-speaker base setup or an optional 9-speaker JBL Premium Audio system. Upholstery choices vary by trim — including fabric, SofTex, or perforated Ultrasuede. Distinct interior accents include waterproof floor mats and Mineral-colored seats for the Woodland, and Gazoo Racing branding with aluminum pedals for the GR Sport.
A major innovation is the debut of Toyota’s Arene software platform, marking a step toward software-defined vehicles. Arene powers the latest Toyota Audio Multimedia system and integrates with Toyota Safety Sense 4.0, which debuts for the first time in this RAV4 generation.
