U.S. automotive media outlet Carscoops has released spy shots of the Audi RS6 e-tron undergoing camouflaged road testing.
Compared to the combustion engine version, although both wear the RS6 badge and share a similar silhouette, the RS6 e-tron is built on a distinctly different foundation, using the VW Group’s PPE platform, which also underpins the A6/S6 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and Porsche Macan Electric.
While no official performance figures have been revealed, based on the S6 e-tron’s 543 hp (405 kW), the RS6 e-tron—if still under development—could produce around 805 hp (600 kW).
In terms of design, the RS6 e-tron features split headlights, a closed grille, no exhaust pipes, and smooth body lines typical of electric vehicles.
