The lightly facelifted Honda ZR-V has been revealed in Japan. The changes introduced in this update are subtle and difficult to spot at a glance. The Japanese line-up has been reduced to three trim levels. The entry-level Z remains largely unchanged in design, apart from new 18-inch alloy wheels. New exterior colours have also been added, including Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Seabed Blue Pearl.
The Z Black Style gains a new honeycomb grille, while the wheel arch surrounds, lower door garnishes, and lower bumper sections are finished in gloss black. The alloy wheels share the same design as the Z grade but feature a darker finish.
The flagship Z Cross Touring comes with a more aggressive new front bumper design, complete with decorative bash plates to enhance its rugged appearance. Matte black accents are applied to the wheel arch surrounds, air intake trims, lower side skirts, and alloy wheels. It also features protective cladding along the lower section of the doors. The Cross Touring is available with a dark beige interior accented by orange stitching.
In Japan, the updated ZR-V drops the 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, leaving only the 2.0-litre hybrid system, producing 184 horsepower and 315Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
Inside, the 9.0-inch infotainment system has been upgraded to support the latest Google integration, including built-in Google Maps, voice control, and an app store. Other available features include a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, heated seats, leather upholstery, and a 360-degree camera system.
The updated ZR-V will go on sale in Japan in late March, with pre-orders now open.
