Lamborghini introduced the Temerario GT3 earlier this summer, and now the company has unveiled the Temerario Super Trofeo Concept, which made its first appearance at the Misano World Circuit last weekend. The concept previews the new race car set to make its real-world debut on the track in 2027.
The new model is designed to replace the Huracán Super Trofeo, sharing several components with the Temerario GT3, including the engine and transmission. Lamborghini didn’t reveal many technical details, but the exterior features an aggressive design with large canards, a prominent front splitter, ventilated fenders, sporty side skirts, and lightweight plexiglass panels. A massive rear wing and a huge diffuser round off the aerodynamic package.
While Lamborghini hasn’t gone into deep specifics, the company confirmed that the car uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 without hybrid technology, producing 478 kW (650 PS) and sending power to the rear wheels. Although that output is lower than the 907 hp of the road-going Temerario, it is higher than the 542 hp of the Temerario GT3. Lamborghini describes this as the ideal power level for “gentleman racers,” paired with a 6-speed sequential transmission from Hoer.
The car is built on an ALU/CFK hybrid chassis with a fully integrated FIA-certified roll cage, ABS brakes, and a traction control system adjustable through 12 levels. Lamborghini also hinted at additional components such as a Capristo exhaust, BMC air filters, and KW suspension.
Inside, the dashboard is upholstered with Dinamica Infinity, the world’s first 100% PES mono-component non-woven suede for automotive applications.
Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann stated, “Lamborghini was not born as a racing brand, but our customers have always demanded a product designed for the track.”
