Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), the official distributor and marketer of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, has launched the Nissan Navara X-Tremer, the latest addition to Nissan’s pick-up truck lineup in the country.
The Navara X-Tremer comes with new exterior and interior trim packages and is available in three variants:
-
2.5L Turbo V – RM134,800 (approx. 1,029,000 baht)
-
2.5L Turbo VL – RM146,900 (approx. 1,121,000 baht)
-
2.5L Turbo Pro-4X – RM154,800 (approx. 1,182,000 baht)
On the outside, the X-Tremer appears similar to the 2023 Black Edition, which featured dark-themed styling, but there are some notable differences. The X-Tremer gets a black front grille and an “X-formation” black front bumper that extends the darkened section to connect with the grille, complemented by black over-fenders with carbon-fibre-look garnishes. Other features include a shark fin antenna, black rear bumper, and X-Tremer-specific tailgate decals.
Inside, the cabin gains soft-touch material on the dashboard with double stitching, a smooth-grain leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Zero Gravity front and rear seats (available on selected variants) upholstered in stain-resistant Quole Modure material. An eight-inch infotainment display supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Powering the V, VL, and Pro-4X variants – which form the basis for the X-Tremer – is the YD25 2.5-litre turbo-diesel inline-four engine producing 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, plus an electronically controlled rear differential lock. Suspension consists of a double-wishbone setup at the front and a coil-sprung multi-link arrangement at the rear, while braking is handled by front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
For advanced safety (ADAS), the X-Tremer comes equipped with forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also includes ABS, EBD, brake assist, stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, and trailer sway assist.
