The Toyota Fortuner mild hybrid variant has been officially launched in India, with prices starting at ₹447,200 (approximately 1.7 million baht). This variant carries the "Neo Drive" branding, the same name used for the mild-hybrid versions of the Hyryder and Glanza. The mild hybrid technology is also available in the Legender variant, priced at ₹500,900 (approximately 1.9 million baht). Toyota has confirmed that bookings for the mild hybrid variants open today, with deliveries scheduled to begin from the third week of this month.

The new Fortuner mild hybrid variants are positioned near the top of the lineup. Compared to the standard Fortuner and Fortuner Legender 4x4 automatic variants, the mild hybrid versions are priced around ₹200,000 (approx. 76,000 baht) higher.
The powertrain remains the same 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine producing 204hp and 500Nm of torque, but now gains a 48V mild hybrid system. This includes a belt-integrated starter generator and a lithium-ion battery. The system supports auto start-stop functionality for improved fuel efficiency, smoother low-end acceleration, and a quieter driving experience.
On the exterior, there are no major changes apart from the new "Neo Drive" badge. Inside, the cabin retains the same dual-tone leather upholstery. However, the features list has been upgraded. The Neo Drive variants now come equipped with 7 airbags, hill start and descent assist, a traction control system, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a 360-degree surround view camera.
