Toyota has officially launched the latest Toyota RAV4 in Japan, featuring two special appearance packages developed by Modellista.
In the Japanese market, the Toyota RAV4 is offered exclusively with a hybrid powertrain and is available in two variants: Z (Core) and Adventure (Woodland). Toyota has confirmed that a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the RAV4 will be added to the lineup before the end of the 2026 fiscal year, along with a GR Sport variant expected to debut around the same time.
Although the Japanese lineup is more limited than in some other markets, customers can choose from a wide range of factory and aftermarket accessories from Toyota, Modellista, and TZ—some of which are not available elsewhere. Buyers can select individual items or opt for one of two complete styling packages: the Lifestyle Package for the Z variant and the Outdoor Package for the Adventure variant.
The Lifestyle Package for the RAV4 Z focuses on a sporty and premium look. It includes a full Modellista body kit consisting of a front splitter, auxiliary LED lights, side skirts, a rear diffuser, a grille garnish, and mirror covers. Customers can also opt for 20-inch Modellista alloy wheels, which are not included in the package. Inside, the package adds convenience-oriented features such as all-season sunshades, cargo area organizers, and expanded ambient lighting.
The Outdoor Package for the RAV4 Adventure adopts a more rugged, off-road-inspired appearance. It features a newly designed grille with integrated LED lighting, metal skid plates, off-road-style side accents, and more pronounced fender flares. Additional equipment includes a hood wind deflector, interior storage accessories, and optional 18-inch alloy wheels finished in Matte Olive.
Toyota has also indicated that the upcoming RAV4 GR Sport may receive additional accessories from GR Parts, although specific details have not yet been announced.
Both packages are purely cosmetic and functional upgrades, with no changes to performance or suspension tuning. The Japanese-market RAV4 continues to use a 2.5-liter petrol hybrid powertrain producing a combined output of 237 hp, paired with the E-Four electric all-wheel-drive system and featuring Trail and Snow driving modes.
Pricing for the Toyota RAV4 in Japan starts at 4,500,000 yen for the Adventure variant and 4,900,000 yen for the Z variant. The Outdoor Package is priced at approximately 508,310 yen, while the Lifestyle Package costs around 586,760 yen.
