Automotive outlet Carscoops has published spy shots of the Nissan Juke EV, following the early teaser Nissan released earlier this year.
The test prototype is covered in black-and-white camouflage, with design cues partly inspired by the Hyper Punk concept. It features large headlights hidden beneath the disguise, along with a wide central intake that appears to house a sensor. Along the side, there’s a sharply raked windshield, angular roofline, and an upswept lower character line for a sporty look, paired with compact mirrors.
The front door handles are flush with the body, while the rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillar, similar to the current Juke. The prototype rides on aerodynamic wheels and has thick side skirts designed to help conceal the battery underneath. At the rear, it sports a boxy tailgate with a large spoiler, and split taillight clusters with upper turn signals and large square brake lights featuring new internal graphics.
The Juke EV is expected to share its platform with the new Leaf—CMF-EV / AmpR Medium—and may use the same 52 kWh battery offering a range of more than 436 km (WLTP). It may also adopt the Leaf’s entry-level motor, producing 174 hp and 345 Nm of torque, enabling 0–100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and a top speed of 161 km/h.
Nissan hasn’t revealed many details yet, but the company has confirmed that the compact electric crossover will launch in fiscal year 2026, with production set to take place at the Sunderland plant, alongside the Leaf.
