The 2026 Mitsubishi Triton has been updated for the Japanese market, featuring new shock absorbers supplied by Yamaha Motor — equipment previously used in selected Toyota and Lexus models. Mitsubishi has also revised the front suspension setup, along with the body mounting points.
According to Mitsubishi, the suspension upgrade improves ride comfort, reduces up-and-down movement when driving over rough surfaces, and helps minimise vibrations transmitted from the engine.
For the Japanese market, the 2026 Mitsubishi Triton is available exclusively in the flagship GSR dual-cab four-wheel-drive variant, with a starting price of 5,518,700 yen (approximately 1,115,000 baht).
Inside the cabin, the Japanese-spec Triton GSR features darker-finished interior door handles and gear shifter surrounds, while the sports bar has been removed. It is also equipped with gas struts for the tailgate, along with Panasonic’s Nanoe X air purification system, which is offered specifically for the Japanese market.
