CHERY, a leading automotive brand under Chery Automobile, has officially announced its entry into the Thai market. The company is set to debut with two initial models: the V23 electric vehicle (EV) and the TIGGO 8 SUV featuring the CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) PHEV system. A network of 30 showrooms across the country will begin accepting pre-orders in August, with first deliveries expected by September.
Mr. Qi Jie, President of OMODA & JAECOO (Thailand) Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of Chery Automobile and the official importer of the Chery brand in Thailand—commented on the brand’s expansion into the Thai market: “As a globally trusted automotive brand and a leader in hybrid technology, we see Thailand as a market with great potential and a key strategic location within the ASEAN region. CHERY’s entry into Thailand is not just about selling cars—it’s about bringing our decades of technology, quality, and commitment to Thai consumers. We aim to set a new standard and deliver an exceptional driving experience, just as we’ve earned the trust of millions of customers around the world.”
To build maximum confidence among Thai consumers, CHERY has announced a major investment plan, including partnerships with nationwide dealers to establish over 30 standard-compliant showrooms and service centers across all regions within the first year. Additionally, the company is in the process of constructing a local vehicle assembly plant in Thailand. This initiative will not only reduce costs and ensure strict quality control, but also generate employment, create careers, and sustainably contribute to the national economy.
