GAC International Launches “ONE GAC 2.0” Strategy and Announces “Thailand Mission” Plan, Reflecting Commitment to Advancing Operations in Thailand and Globally
Currently, GAC International has established a presence in over 74 countries, covering regions including Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and South America. Its ultimate goal is to export more than 500,000 vehicles by 2027 and become a trusted Chinese automotive brand for global consumers.
ONE GAC 2.0: A Vision for the New Era of Mobility
The “ONE GAC 2.0” strategy is an upgrade of the GAC Group’s global strategy first launched in 2024. It focuses on building a “global brand that is trustworthy, high-quality, and cutting-edge” through four key principles:
-
One Vision: Creating value through mobility for a better life.
-
One Goal: To become a globally recognized automotive brand known for quality, innovation, and trust.
-
One Image: A trusted, high-quality partner utilizing advanced technologies.
-
One Localized Plan: Driven by localization through integrated planning, services, and value creation in Thailand.
This plan is supported by five main initiatives:
-
Customer Service Enhancement
-
Product Development
-
Expansion of Distribution Channels
-
Smart Manufacturing
-
Development of Energy and Mobility Systems
Under the ONE GAC 2.0 framework, GAC International officially launched its “Thailand Mission” with the goal of creating a comprehensive automotive ecosystem for the Thai and Southeast Asian markets—encompassing products, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales services. Key highlights include:
Products
GAC introduced two new car models tailored to Thai consumer needs:
-
AION UT: A new electric vehicle featuring Milan-inspired design, L2+ technology, and global-standard safety features.
-
M8 PHEV: A luxury plug-in hybrid MPV suitable for both families and executives.
Distribution Channels
The company plans to open new showrooms nationwide, adopting a “one-stop service” concept to enhance accessibility and customer service efficiency.
After-Sales Services
Full implementation of the GSSW (GAC International Sales and Service Workflow) system, including digital tools such as real-time vehicle service tracking applications.
Smart Manufacturing
The GAC factory in Thailand began production in 2024, using the same technologies as GAC’s model “smart factory” in China. Full-scale production is expected by the end of 2026, with plans to export vehicles to ASEAN markets.
Energy and Mobility Systems
GAC is committed to developing a complete electric vehicle infrastructure in Thailand to support a clean energy future:
-
“100 Cities, 1,000 Charging Points” plan by 2027, starting with 25 stations and 76 chargers in 2025.
-
Establishing Thailand’s first in-depth battery repair center in Bangkok.
-
Collaborating with Grab and local partners to enhance the mobility ecosystem.
-
Launching an EV personnel training center in partnership with Thai universities to develop a skilled workforce for the EV industry.
Sustainable Growth and Social Contribution in Thailand
GAC International emphasizes sustainable growth alongside social engagement in Thailand through human resource, technology, and infrastructure development. A key collaboration includes the creation of an EV Training Center with Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) in Nakhon Ratchasima. GAC donated an AION Y Plus EV for educational use, helping students develop technical skills and laying the foundation for Thailand’s future EV workforce.
Additionally, GAC signed an MOU with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) to co-develop clean energy infrastructure by building EV charging stations—part of the “100 Cities, 1,000 Charging Points” initiative—supporting the growth of electric vehicles and establishing a stable, sustainable energy ecosystem in Thailand.
