Design: Bolder with next-generation V-Motion design 

The new front of the vehicle reflects a next-generation expression, which echoes the design cue of Nissan’s future design concept. Cherishing the sedan’s signature balanced design of a premium look and sporty spirit, Nissan’s designers have amplified the next-generation feel with the aim of making it more recognizable even from afar. The front of the New Nissan Almera has been enhanced to ensure a clearer expression.

The V-Motion concept, which was earlier seen on the front grille shape and design, has been expanded to reflect a strong sense of style and mobility experience. Every part from the hood to the A-pillar has been enhanced to intensify the V-motion movement. Fine details have been added to the front grille to give the entire front of the New Nissan Almera a bolder and more eye-catching next-generation V-Motion feel.

The designer team has heightened the look and feel with a latest exterior color, Gray Sky Pearl, which makes the New Nissan Almera a design statement in itself. People on the road will be amazed at how the color shifts at different times of the day and from different angles when they look at the car. The color may look purplish in a low-light environment and become very blue in full sunlight. When looking at the car from a distance, the viewer may see just the solid color. However, as they get closer, they will start to see the pearl effect. In addition to giving the car a more interesting color-shifting experience, the new shade also creates highlights and darker shadows on the body that stress the vehicle’s sportiness. This way, the car no longer looks like a big box of color.

The designer team has also enhanced the V-motion concept on the interior, as seen from the console. The clear gliding wing-shape decoration in sporty blue color (available in V, VL grades) of the entire central console adds a more modern & sportier look to the passenger cabin.

For years, Nissan Almera has won over young generation urban dwellers for its compact yet powerful and highly fuel-efficient engine. The New Nissan Almera maintains this strength.

The sedan is powered by Nissan’s unique HRA0 1.0-litre turbo, producing a maximum power of 100 horsepower (Ps) and torque of 152 Nm, providing strong and fast acceleration from continuous torque (flat torque). There is also a feature to automatically cut off the engine when the car is stopped (Idling Stop), helping to save more fuel. The feature can be turned on and off on demand. 

Apart from engine performance, the 1.0-litre turbo engine features a number of technical innovations such as Delta Cylinder Head, Central Injector and Turbocharger with electronically controlled waste as well as bore spray coating on the cylinders which is applied from the inconic Nissan GT-R technology. Its bore spray coating help reduce cylinder friction and weight while improving heat management and combustion. 

The vehicle comes with a XTRONIC CVT transmission system that enhances the driving performance with D-Step Logic that provides smooth gear changes, while giving instant acceleration for better overtaking.

NissanConnect Services: Redefining your connection with your car

In celebration of the always-connected lifestyle, Nissan enriches the driving experience for all New Nissan Almera owners with the newly introduced NissanConnect Services**, an application that allows the proud owner to remotely control and communicate with their vehicle using their smartphones as well as seek help in emergencies with a simple push of a button.

NissanConnect Services gives the highest peace of mind with the SOS feature. This first-in-class feature ensures that the driver will never be left alone in an emergency. A press on the SOS button in the car brings instant contact from Nissan’s emergency support center through the in-car audio system.

This app also helps keep the vehicle ready for any journey thanks to the intelligent remote control for several commands, namely remote door lock, remote engine start, and remote horn and lights to help you find your car in crowded parking. My Car Finder is a useful feature that helps search for the car location and guide the owner to the car.

This intelligent application also reminds the owner of the vehicle’s status, such as whether it is already locked and/or when there is something wrong, the maintenance schedule, and warns when the driving speed exceeds the limit. Owners can also easily check the travel distance per day, month, and year. Apart from maintenance support, the NissanConnect Services provides significant security support. When the theft alarm is activated, the application will also alert the owner immediately, allowing the driver the opportunity to take immediate action. Another key feature is an alert when the vehicle travels out of the specified area, allowing the owner to always keep track of the vehicle.

Initial 3-year NissanConnect Services is exclusive for New Nissan Almera Minor Change customers. A separately purchased subscription is required after the initial service expires.

Enhanced Safety: New features added to Nissan's 360° SAFETY SHIELD package

To strengthen Nissan Almera’s strong positioning as the compact sedan that offers comprehensive functions and features, Nissan has raised safety standards to another level by giving the sedan features that were earlier only available in premium class.

The first-in-class Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) allows the driver to see the air pressure inside each tire and sends an alert when the air pressure does not meet the requirement. This helps the driver control the vehicle better.  High Beam Assist (HBA) automatically switches the headlights setting to low beam from high beam when it detects a vehicle ahead. Frequent usage of high beams allows for earlier detection of pedestrians, supporting safer driving. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) notifies the driver when they begin to leave the lane in which they are traveling. To reduce the risks of leaving the lane unintentionally, LDW provides visual and audio alerts to prompt the driver to take action.

Other safety features that provide full protection around the vehicle include Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) that warns the driver of an approaching car or object from the rear and side during reverse parking, Intelligent Around View Monitoring (IAVM), Moving Object Detection (MOD), Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), and Hill Start Assist (HSA). Included in the package is the full range of advanced protection technologies, namely Pretensioner and Load Limiter Seatbelts, 6 SRS airbags for all vehicle grades, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) that keeps the vehicle stable in all conditions for precise turning, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist (BA) systems.
